Terms of Service
Last updated: November 3, 2026
These terms cover your use of the LexReach website and our AI client-intake subscription. Please read them carefully.
01Agreement
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between LexReach and the law firm or person who uses lexreach.ca or subscribes to LexReach ("you"). By booking a demo, subscribing or using the service, you agree to these Terms.
02The service
LexReach provides AI-assisted client intake: after-hours call answering, email reply drafting and answering, a website chat assistant, lead summaries and consultation booking requests. Features depend on your plan, as described on our pricing page.
03Not legal advice
LexReach is not a law firm. Neither LexReach nor its assistant gives legal advice. Talking to the assistant does not create a lawyer-client relationship between anyone and LexReach. You remain responsible for conflict checks, deciding which clients to take on, the advice you give, and meeting the rules of the Law Society of Alberta and any other regulator.
04Your responsibilities
- Give us accurate setup information, including practice areas, hours, fees, escalation contacts and what the assistant may and may not say.
- Make sure you have the authority and any consents needed for us to handle intake on your firm's behalf, and that your own privacy policy covers this.
- Review the leads and booking requests we send you promptly. The assistant collects requests. It does not confirm a lawyer's availability.
- Don't use the service for anything illegal, misleading or abusive, or to send unsolicited messages.
05Plans, billing and renewals
Subscriptions are billed in Canadian dollars, either monthly or yearly, through Stripe. They renew automatically at the end of each billing period. Applicable taxes are added at checkout. Prices may change: if they do, we'll tell you at least 30 days before your next renewal. Fees already paid are not refundable, except where the law requires a refund.
06Data and confidentiality
Your firm owns its intake data. We handle it only to provide the service, as described in our Privacy Policy, and we keep it confidential. You can export your records or ask us to delete them.
07Availability
We work to keep LexReach available around the clock. We can't promise it will never be interrupted, for example during maintenance, carrier outages or problems with third-party AI systems. AI-generated replies may sometimes be incomplete or wrong, so your firm should have a backup plan for urgent matters.
08Limitation of liability
As far as the law allows, LexReach is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for lost profits or lost clients. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the 3 months before the claim.
09Ending the service
You can stop your subscription from renewing at any time, and the service will continue until the end of the period you've already paid for. We may suspend or end the service if you seriously break these Terms or don't pay.
10Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute will be heard by the courts in Calgary, Alberta.
